These terms apply to the free tools on woodywusommelier.com, The House Somm demonstration at concierge.woodywusommelier.com, and the wine pairing connector used by AI assistants. Paid work is covered by its own written agreement, which takes precedence over this page.
What the tools are
The wine pairing connector and The House Somm give suggestions, the way a sommelier would at the table. They are suggestions, not professional, medical or dietary advice. Check allergies and dietary needs with the people preparing your food.
The pairing connector recommends styles of wine, and non-alcoholic drinks when you ask. It does not name specific bottles or prices, and it does not sell anything.
Alcohol
Wine recommendations are for adults of legal drinking age where they are. Please drink responsibly. If you are not drinking, ask for non-alcoholic pairings and you will get them. Alcohol-removed wine, beer and spirits usually still contain a small amount of alcohol.
Fair use
Please do not use the tools to overload them, to extract or copy them at scale, or for anything unlawful. Use is limited per day, and a tool may be paused at any time.
No guarantee
The tools are provided as they are, free of charge. I work to keep them accurate and available, but I do not guarantee either, and to the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses arising from their use.
Your content
What you type is used only to answer you, as described in the privacy policy. I claim no ownership of it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
